The Glossary

In the Sovereign Way of Enlightenment, you’ll come across some words that mean a lot of different things to different people. To make your explorative experience on our site into a delicious and graceful journey of mind, we’ll be using these words in the following capacities:
God:
There is one source and substance of our shared universal fabric. This unified field of consciousness unites our hearts and minds, and its creativity is both infinitely powerful and immediately personal. It is Knowing, and it is Love.
Love:
Love is the primordial frequency (or essence, or nature, or flavor) of the universe. It is the most natural state of being. It is what heals, what enlightens, what provides, and our innermost yearning is for more of it - this is how God calls us into becoming.
Christ:
Christ comes from the Greek word χριστός (christos), meaning "anointed one". We will use this word to describe an anointed state of being where God unites with the human experience as a fully remembered knowing, integrated mind and embodied grace.
Life:
The thing we call life is the mysterious experience we have of growth, conscious relation, and continual change preceding death. In this book we are only concerned with the immediate human experience of life, this one that we’re living, and we leave questions about afterlife, reincarnation and the continuation of the soul for other explorers.
Mastery:
When we speak of life mastery, we are addressing the exclusively human quality of desiring to live righteously and the consequent wisdom and methods we employ to maintain and improve our experience of life.
Ascending Master:
You. An individual human who has consciously chosen a life path of continuous enlightenment and improving mastery, intentionally embodying more Love and thus serving as a vibrational wayshower for the rest of the collective human mind.
Ascension:
The quality of natural improvement in consciousness, both individual, collective and universal.
Sovereign:
To be Sovereign is to be in possession of ultimate power. In our terminology, ultimate power is Love, so sovereignty cannot mean egoic control. It does not mean to have exclusive access to ultimate power or to possess it like an autocrat! To us, it means to embody the spiritual power which liberates our choice-making from illusion and control, trauma and error, and provides a true north calibration at any moment of surrender. It also means we know the true source of this sovereign power, and we know how to align with it.
Vibration:
We acknowledge that all of actualized reality is a vibrational fabric, and that every nuance of experience is a different frequency of vibration. We acknowledge that we have the power to change the vibrations of things - hot to cold - angry to peaceful - yellow to blue - A minor to C major. In our work, we know that a vibrational experience is as valid a reality as a mental or physical experience.
Ontology:
This is the branch of philosophy that deals with becoming. The term comes from Greek and means essentially “the study or theory of being or that which is.” It is the organization of inter-relational categories of reality to make up a model of Life - a way to understand what is happening when we are becoming.
Magic:
Magic is real. To us, it is the ability every human has to extend their most glorious, personal and unique creative essence in a way that influences the vibrational reality of life. It is as unique as a fingerprint! A human’s magic could be said to be a lesser form of God’s miracle, made in its image but nonetheless limited by the nature of its individuality. The more we align with our true nature, the stronger and purer is the flow of creativity through our expression and more marvellous and magical our impact.
Metaphysics:
We use this word to group together the known and unknown energetic mechanics of the universe. These are the transcending laws and systems that govern the dynamics of how the ever-moving fabric of creation dances with itself. Classical physical laws, mysterious quantum laws, trans-dimensional, vibrational and energetic laws. The more we comprehend and embody the knowing of these laws, the easier and more gracefully we participate with becoming.
Logic:
We hold that the actualized universe is fundamentally ordered and divinely logical. Even the seemingly illogical quantum world holds divine order, meaning and mathematical perfection. Creation unfolds systematically, even when we can’t comprehend the logic of what we are seeing. When we can comprehend things, when they are logical in our minds and hearts, then it is far easier for us to accept them. Let all spiritual teachers and theologians be challenged to bring logic to their word - and if they can’t, let them consult the philosophers who are anointed for this purpose.
Universal Truth:
We use the word Truth to encompass anything formed in Love (“You are worthy”) that can transcend the boundaries between all spiritual languages, and that is known in the deepest rememberings in the human heart. Truth always points to God.
Falsehood:
We use the word Falsehood to encompass everything formed from illusion (“You are not worthy.”) Falsehood always points to “the outer world” of structures, systems and anything actualized. It does not mean “not real” - a falsehood can be experienced as very real.
Evil:
Evil is real. It is the vibrational agency of falsehood that serves to draw our attention away from God and keep us in the idea of separation. A Sovereign being needs to know how to identify and deal with the lifelong problem of evil’s presence, and mature religions and spiritual frameworks can no longer be shy about equipping humans with the wisdom and tools necessary to navigate this system of energy.
Alignment:
This is how we place our knowing of ourselves in relation to things, creating a vibrational relationship with an actualized idea, object, happening or vision, or in the total sense creating a vibrational relationship with God. “I am knowing that this day is going to be a total bust” is to be in alignment with a shit day, and out of alignment with a mind-blowing spiritual revelation (which may still actualize, thanks to the mystery of Grace, which requires no mastery.)
Grace:
A mystery of the universe, this expression of Love transcends all structures, illusions, fears and errors. It has the quality of bestowing blessings that seemingly have no vibrational alignment with your energetic field, frequently defying the Law of Attraction, manifesting miracles and keeping us constantly surprised and grateful.
Mercy:
Mercy is Grace applied to what has already been actualized. It has the quality of dissolving harm, forgiving the unforgivable and redeeming what was forever lost. It rights wrongs and releases shackles, pays off debts and neutralizes negative karma.
